Merchants Way (MW) Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)

How does my child access Merchants Way? Merchants Way is a special education program created for student need. The ARD committee makes decisions on a more restrictive environment and decides on Merchants Way.
What does my child need to bring? Merchants Way supplies students with everything then need to be successful. Staff will reach out to the home campus about student's assigned Chromebook. All supplies are provided on campus.
Is transportation provided? Yes! ARD committees determine the need for special education transportation.
Can my child return to their home campus? The primary goal of the Behavior Learning Center at Merchants Way is to transition students back to their home campuses. Student ARD committees make those determinations based on a variety of data.
Is Merchants Way the only location for Katy+? Yes! The east side of the building was completely renovated to provide a state of the art space for students in the Katy+ program.
